in Sri Lanka

The busiest surfing point in Sri Lanka is
Arugam bay, but there are many hidden surfing spots including Visky point,
Peanut Farm, Unawatuna and Kalpitiya which are uncrowded surf.
Arugam bay which is located on the South
East side of Sri Lanka is known as a top world surf destination. It is also one
of the 10 beaches of the world which has been naturally created for wind
surfing. This is also the safest area for swimming. The
long shallow coastline allows for the foreign visitors who love for the sunny
climates to walk through the beach and enjoy with surfing. The peak surf season
in the Arugambay is from May to October. Winds are offshore making clean waves
and invite the surfers to play with the waves. The official surfing season still
get some fantastic days in the water or visitors can join the small
kiteboarding scene when the consistent winds trump
the consistent swells.
There are several popular point breaks around Arugam
bay area such as Visky point, Peanut farm point and Okanda surfing point.

It is really a popular haunt for surfers and great for beginners of the sport. The
gorgeous white sand of the Visky point and awesome peeling waves never let
anyone to leave the ocean. The waves provide ultimate fun for the surfers as
the waves break off a rocky outcrop near the beach. It is also a decent
place for sea bathing.

be one of the best places to surf in Sri Lanka which is located in Panama.
Kalpitiya the gorgeous coastal region which
is located in the North Western Province of Sri Lanka, approximately 170 km
away from Colombo. It is bordered with coconut trees and blue crystal clear
water feel the illusion of a paradise island. Kalpitiya is one of the best
place for kite surfing too. The surf season is from May to October as the
strongest wind condition comes through the Kalpitiya beach.
